Winterize Sprinkler Systems with Schrader Valve to Male NPT Fittings

To facilitate winterization procedures, these fittings are designed for connecting an air compressor or bike tire pump to a backflow preventer valve (also known as a pressure vacuum breaker). They can also be used in situations where Schrader valve to male National Pipe Thread (MNPT) fittings are necessary. Backflow preventers and pressure vacuum breakers (PVB) are commonly found in underground sprinkler systems.

The packaging is reusable and includes a selection of fittings: (1) Schrader valve to 1/8” MNPT, (2) Schrader valve to 1/4” MNPT, (3) 1/4” FNPT to 3/8” MNPT bushing, and (4) 3/8” FNPT to 1/28” MNPT bushing. Please note that the fittings in this package are compatible with female NPT connections only, not male SAE 45° Flare connections. Make sure to check your backflow preventer before making a purchase.

For health and safety reasons, these brass fittings are made of lead-free brass with less than 0.25% lead content. While lead-free brass is more costly to produce (about 30% more expensive than regular brass), it is also more durable, harder, and stronger than traditional leaded brass. Always remember to wear safety goggles when working with compressed air.

Crafted from a solid lead-free brass casting, this heavy duty winterization tool is built to last a lifetime. For a secure seal, PTFE tape or thread sealant (not included) is required to prevent leaks.
